World Sports Betting Cape Cobras coach Ashwell Prince has called up young fast bowler Thando Ntini to his squad for the CSA 4 Day Domestic Series Round 3 clash against the Hollywoodbets Dolphins starting in Pietermaritzburg on Monday.

Ntini made his first-class debut for Western Province in February this year and he will be hoping to make his Cobras debut this week, after replacing Simon Khomari in the squad.

The Cobras’ first two matches of the season were played away from home, including an opening round loss to the Imperial Lions and a drawn match against the Momentum Multiply Titans last week. Looking ahead to the journey to KZN for the Cobras’ next away game, Prince admitted it was not a happy place for the Cobras to visit, but hoped the tables will turn in round three.

“It’s going to be another tough one,” he concluded. “Obviously another away game, this time in Maritzburg. It’s a place in my experiences, maybe the Dolphins have had good results there, but I always find it very difficult to get good results there.

“Hopefully this time around it will be different and we’ll have a surface that gives both teams a chance of getting a result.”
